Sorrento Major Renovation

Located in great location, in a cul-de-sac on top of the hill with views over the water and Hillarys boat harbour and on a large block was a very old tired double storey home. The home was originally built back in the 80’s it had size but it needed to be guttered back to a shell and simple start again.

The plan was to increase the size of the garage to accommodate parking for 4 cars and a store area we needed to relocate some windows and knock out some walls but apart from that the home was large enough. All 3 bathrooms, the kitchen and upstairs bar were removed and replaced with new. All floors in the home, window treatments, light fittings and air-conditioning were replaced with new. The home was repainted inside and the inside was now like a new home.

Outside we raised the height of the boundary fencing for added privacy and replaced the old warped timber infill panels with beautiful new Merbau. We pulled up the old driveway for the new washed aggregate, replaced the old cedar cladding and face brick with rendered painted walls, incorporated a BBQ area, re landscaped the property and even designed a 4 hole mini golf course in the backyard.

Like many older homes in great locations they need to often be completely revamped and when done properly can feel like a new home in faster time and for a large saving compared to the knock down and rebuild costs.
